AKLI vs Supy for restaurant food cost and inventory

AKLI and Supy both cost recipes on a weighted average. Supy publishes AI ordering, AI invoice scanning and a 14-day sales forecast as add-ons. AKLI includes its AI in one plan at SAR 299 / QAR 290 / AED 293 / BHD 30 / OMR 31 per branch per month, excluding VAT, and does not place orders on its own. AKLI is not a POS or a general ledger.

AKLI is AI restaurant management software for food cost, inventory, recipe costing, purchasing, waste and a live P&L by branch and for the whole group. Supy, in its own words, is "The operating system for multi-branch restaurants" and restaurant inventory software for multi-branch F&B, covering procurement, inventory, business intelligence and integrations. The notes are for multi-branch operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council who already have Supy on a shortlist. The page places those published descriptions next to each other. It is not a ranking. The table is the short version.

Recipe cost: both state a weighted average

Supy says a recipe cost is calculated from a rolling weighted average of what was paid for each ingredient still in stock, not the last invoice price. The stock that is still on hand carries the prices that were paid for it, and the recipe uses that average. Last invoice price is a different number, and Supy says the recipe cost is not that number.

Supy also writes that most multi-site inventory platforms, Supy included, cost every purchase of an item on a weighted average. Weighted average cost is therefore not a difference between AKLI and Supy, and it is not a method one of them has to itself. What Supy adds on the recipe screen is a set of other views: last purchase price, average purchase price, or supplier-specific pricing. A buyer can look at the weighted figure and still open those other prices.

AKLI costs recipes at weighted average cost. A received price moves that average, and the recipes that use the ingredient move with it. AKLI does not cost recipes at FIFO or FEFO. Yield and the cost card are in how to cost a recipe. The identity that needs an opening count and a closing count is the restaurant COGS formula.

AI that each site actually describes, and what is in the price

Supy publishes AI ordering, AI invoice scanning and a sales forecast. On the pricing page those three sit under add-ons, with the line "Get in touch for pricing." They are part of what Supy describes. They are not described as included in the starting monthly figure.

The forecasting page says Supy's AI reads POS history and predicts daily sales by branch for the next 14 days, broken down to individual menu items. A manager can override the result. Supy says adjustments do not retrain the model and do not permanently alter it. Supy calls the forecast a real model, not a rolling average.

Predictive ordering builds the purchase order from that forecast, the recipes, current stock, the delivery date and the coverage period. Supy's line is that the AI builds the purchase order and a person hits send. Orders are never sent automatically. Invoice receiving scans an email or a phone photo, extracts lines, prices and taxes, matches purchase orders and flags exceptions.

Anomaly detection is in the navigation as "Anomaly detection AI (coming soon)." The feature URL redirected to the homepage on 27 Sep 2026.

Read the packaging with the feature list. Supy describes AI ordering, AI invoice scanning and a 14-day sales forecast, and the pricing page places all three under add-ons. AKLI's documented AI is in the one plan, not on a separate price list. Ask AKLI answers in plain language from that kitchen's recipes, stock, invoices and sales. Features describe trend identification and anomaly detection on the same workspace. When a received price moves, recipe cost is recalculated at weighted average cost. AKLI does not place orders on its own. Outputs can be wrong, so a person reviews them before acting. The pricing page says every module and unlimited team members are included, with no tiers, no add-ons and no per-seat fee: SAR 299 / QAR 290 / AED 293 / BHD 30 / OMR 31 per branch per month, excluding VAT.

Purchasing, transfers and the central kitchen

Supy's pricing page lists the procurement and inventory work it documents: requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, suppliers, invoices, credit notes, receiving, counts, wastage, transfers and production. That is a purchasing file and a stock file in the same product, from the request through to the credit note.

On a transfer, the receiving branch must accept before stock updates. Both locations then adjust, and they adjust when the transfer is confirmed. Partial acceptance is supported, so a branch can take part of what was sent. Central kitchen billing is stated as "Sell at cost, with markup, or fixed price," with pro-forma and tax invoices in that module. Supy also lists brand segregation for cloud kitchens as an add-on. The pricing page does not call that add-on a profit-and-loss statement.

AKLI covers purchase orders, goods-received notes and invoice match. The workflow page is purchasing and goods received, and the variance between the order and the delivery is purchasing variance and the goods-received note. Batch recipes for a central kitchen are on central production. Invoice reconciliation and auto-matching are on the features page.

POS, files, and what AKLI is not

AKLI is not a point-of-sale system and not a general ledger. The till stays the record of the guest check. The books stay with the accountant. Sales can come from CSV or Excel, and a till change is not required. Export for that accountant is CSV or Excel as well. The paths in are on integrations. Foodics, Oracle Simphony, Marn, and Sapaad are POS systems AKLI connects to, through AKLI's POS connector.

Supy says "50+ live POS integrations" and that new ones are built at no charge. Its directory includes Foodics.

Published price

AKLI is SAR 299 / QAR 290 / AED 293 / BHD 30 / OMR 31 per branch per month, excluding VAT. A group with five branches pays five times that, excluding VAT. Unlimited team members are on that plan. There is no second tier and no add-on list on the pricing page.

Supy publishes "Start from $250/month." The page says pricing is tailored to the operation, the number of locations and the payment terms. It does not say the $250 is per location. Unlimited users per location are included.

The two published numbers cannot be lined up. The $250 is not stated per location, and Supy's AI ordering, AI invoice scanning and AI sales forecasting are priced separately, on request.

P&L, food safety, and the category page

AKLI gives a live P&L by branch and for the whole group (multi-branch groups). It is not a statement per brand. The method guide for reading a restaurant statement is restaurant profit and loss. Theoretical cost against actual food cost is explained on theoretical versus actual food cost. Supy's pricing page lists "Theoretical vs actual COGS."

Digital HACCP logs sit in the same product. They are timestamped and can be exported for inspection. The logs do not by themselves make a kitchen compliant. The product page is digital HACCP. The product interface is available in English, French and Arabic. Supy's marketing site is published in EN, AR, EN-AU, FR, ZH-CN and DE.

Tools that count stock and stop there are a different comparison: AKLI vs count-only tools. Supy is not in that category. It publishes recipe costing, theoretical versus actual COGS, purchase orders and POS integrations. A separate page compares published facts for MarketMan.
